POWER STATION DEMOLITION: THE MANFREDONIA CTE
Power station demolition at Syndial S.p.A. of Manfredonia. The plant extends over a total area of 130 hectares.
The thermoelectric plant and the water treatment plant, located inside island 9 of the Syndial S.p.A. factory in Manfredonia, are distributed over an area of about 40,000 m2.

THE FIREPLACES
Description of 2 fireplaces: height of about 90/105 meters and diameters of 6 and 8 metres respectively, for a weight of about 4,000/4,500 tons of cement.
Dismantling technique used for chimneys: demolition from top to bottom.
The project was conducted by using the FDS (Fly Demolition System), that is a radio-controlled crushing system suspended from a 750-tonne crane and arm of up to 120 meters. Recovery of five MCA cable braids using a 90-meter aerial platform.

BOILERS DESCRIPTION
Three boilers with a height of 42 meters. Total weight of about 2,500/3,000 tons of iron.
Demolition technique used for boilers: dismantling of the boiler body in ashlars employing crane truck and plastic tilting of the boiler castle.
