FLORENCE CITY THEATRE: STRIP OUT AND DECOMMISSIONING
In the historical centre of the city of Florence, Fratelli Omini completed a selective demolition work preceded by plant strip-out, FAV and MCA remediation.

SELECTIVE DEMOLITION AND STRIP OUT
Main activities:
- Deconstruction by disc and diamond wire cutting
- Demolition with remote-controlled excavators to comply with the highest safety standards
- Demolition with 30 meters boom excavators
- Waste management with LEED Level 2 certification
- Execution of dust sampling and vibration testing of surrounding buildings with the consultancy of the University of Florence
Some numbers of the project:
- 25,000 tonnes of concrete
- About 2,000 tonnes of ferrous materials
- Over 100 tonnes of hazardous materials discarded
- Over 50 inspections by inspection organisations
- Lead time: about 12 months in total
