GELA REFINERY: demolition of torch, chimney, drills and boiler plants
The Gela Refinery (or RaGe) is an industrial complex for refining, processing and storage of hydrocarbons, established in 1963.
At the time of its construction, it was considered one of the largest plants in Europe; since 2014, the conversion process from a traditional refinery to a biorefinery has been underway.
Fratelli Omini has been operating on the site for several decades, collaborating in the demolition and decommissioning of the main plants. The historicity of our presence within the refinery has allowed us to develop specific know-how and several consolidated collaborations with local partners.
